These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Nile Tropical website, online store and related digital services operated by Nile Tropical Industries (U) Ltd ("Nile Tropical", "we", "us" or "our"). By using the service or placing an order, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
1. Our service
Nile Tropical provides information about its products and, where enabled, online ordering, payment, delivery, order tracking and customer-support services. Product availability and particular service features may vary by location and time.
2. Accounts and sign-in
- You are responsible for providing accurate information and keeping your account credentials secure.
- Where Google sign-in is offered, authentication is provided through Google's authentication service and is subject to Google's applicable terms.
- You must not impersonate another person or use an account without authorisation.
- We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, transactions or the service.
3. Products, prices and availability
We aim to keep product descriptions, images, prices and availability accurate. Product images are provided for product identification and presentation; reasonable differences in colour or appearance may occur depending on screens, packaging or product batches.
Prices, promotions, stock availability and applicable delivery charges are shown or confirmed through the service and may change before an order is accepted. Where a material pricing or availability error is identified, we may contact you before fulfilling the affected order.
4. Orders
Submitting an order is a request to purchase. An order becomes accepted when Nile Tropical confirms it through the service or another appropriate channel. We may decline or cancel an order where a product is unavailable, a transaction cannot be verified, an obvious pricing or system error occurred, or there is a reasonable security, fraud or compliance concern.
You should review your cart, delivery information, quantities and total charges before placing an order. If you notice an error after ordering, contact us promptly.
5. Payment
Available payment methods are displayed during checkout. Payment processing may be provided by third-party payment providers. An order may remain pending until the payment provider confirms the transaction. You must not provide a payment PIN, one-time password or other secret authentication credential to Nile Tropical staff or through the website.
If a payment is completed but an order does not immediately update, do not make repeated payments without first checking the order or contacting support. We will use transaction records to investigate and reconcile payment issues.
6. Delivery and tracking
Delivery availability, delivery charges, estimated delivery information and the delivery area are communicated through the service or confirmed with you. Tracking information is provided to help you follow an order and may depend on the availability of current operational information.
You are responsible for providing a reasonably accurate delivery location and contact information and for being available to receive the order or providing appropriate delivery instructions.
7. Returns, exchanges and refunds
Returns, exchanges and refunds are handled according to the applicable product and transaction circumstances and any return or refund information presented at checkout or supplied by Nile Tropical. Products that are damaged, incorrect, defective or otherwise eligible for a remedy should be reported promptly with the relevant order information.
Where a refund is approved, the method and timing may depend on the original payment method and the payment provider's processing time. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Electronic communications
By using the service, you agree that we may send transactional communications necessary to operate your order or account, including order confirmations, payment updates, delivery updates, security notices and support responses. Marketing communications, where used, will be handled in accordance with applicable law and your available preferences.
9. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, scrape or copy protected content at scale without permission, submit fraudulent orders or payments, impersonate another person, or use the service for unlawful purposes.
10. Intellectual property
Nile Tropical and its licensors retain rights in the website, software, branding, logos, text, images and other materials except where a different ownership arrangement is expressly stated. You may use the service and its content for ordinary personal or business purchasing purposes, but may not reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially exploit protected material without permission.
11. Third-party services
Some functions rely on third-party services such as authentication, hosting, maps, communications and payment processing. Those services may have their own terms and policies. Nile Tropical is responsible for the Nile Tropical service itself, but third-party services operate according to their own technical and contractual conditions.
12. Service availability
We work to keep the service reliable, but online services can be interrupted by maintenance, connectivity problems, provider outages, security events or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We may temporarily suspend a feature when necessary to protect the service or users.
13. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Nile Tropical will not be responsible for losses caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including failures of telecommunications networks, payment providers or other third-party services. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.

15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when our services, business processes or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page with its effective or updated date. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms to the extent permitted by law.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are intended to operate under the laws applicable in Uganda. We encourage customers to contact Nile Tropical first so that questions, order problems and disputes can be resolved promptly. Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from exercising a right or pursuing a remedy available under applicable law.
